In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.
The mission centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside multiple items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
